A very popular outdoor activity is camping. It lets people spend their free time outside or in the countryside. Camping may start with building a tent in your garden and end up with an extended vacation that can last several weeks.

There are different types of camping. First and commonly,  people will drive to a campsite and set up their tent there. This is easy because you can bring everything you need for a camping trip in your car. Traveling in a recreational vehicle (RV) is another type that is more comfortable but also more expensive. They have all the facilities you might find at home, such as toilets, showers, sinks, and refrigerators. The next type is the hikers who carry their belongings on their backs, commonly known as backpackers. They typically go to locations that are unreachable by car.

You'll need a sleeping bag, foam pads, or air mattresses if you want to spend the night in a tent while camping. You'll also need clothing that will protect you from the sun, rain, and mosquitoes, hiking boots, and toiletries. Also, campers should bring a knife, flashlight, additional batteries, and waterproof matches.

Here are some additional safety measures you need to follow when camping outside. Keep an eye on your fire at all times. Water that is safe to drink is also essential. Take extra precautions if you hike while camping because there are possible dangers. If you get lost, keep calm and stay still while you wait for help to arrive. And finally, clean up your campsite before you leave.
