In order to utilize your maximum potential, you must attempt to expand your knowledge of the world around you. If you want to keep growing, you need to make learning a habit. There is a method to all of the madness. The type of study habits that you’ve come to practice before may not work so well now. However, you can certainly build on those practices to make your study habits more disciplined—because you’ll need to!

The first step is to find a good studying spot. You need to be in an environment with little to no distractions—an environment that will aid in keeping you focused on your tasks. Speaking of distractions, you should also avoid using social media during your study time. It is the fastest way to kill your 20-30 minutes time. The best thing you can do is either put your phone on silent, turn off the alerts and flip it over so that you can’t even SEE them, or just turn the thing off!

You can also prepare a To-Learn-List and write down the new areas of study which motivate you and keep them handy. It can lead you to more searching which means more ideas to learn. Make sure to make reading a habit. It is the fastest way to learn new things but be sure to read everything as headlines may lead you to fake news.

Make study time a part of your daily routine. 1 to 2 hours of reading won’t hurt.  Consistency is key and once you start getting into good study habits, you will be able to do it every day just like a normal thing. Make it your priority and place these sessions when you’re at your peak performance times to make them extra effective.
