Why do some people get more mosquito bites than others? A website has found several answers to this query. Medical News Today (MNT) studied the human body characteristics that mosquitoes prefer. They learned some interesting things. Dr. Jagdish Khubchandani, a professor of public health, revealed to MNT what he believed mosquitoes preferred. He said that according to studies, pregnant women, individuals with high body temperatures and sweating, as well as those with a darker complexion, may be greater targets. Blood type may also be a factor.

According to Medical News Today, there are about 3,500 different mosquito species in the world and only a small percentage of these bite people. Most individuals find mosquito bites to be an irritation. They become itchy and can swell up. However, the diseases that mosquitoes spread have caused the deaths of millions of people. To prevent getting bitten, it is best to cover your skin with clothing. Applying insect repellent to any exposed skin is also a good idea, whether indoors or outside, day or night. Lastly, the chance of getting bitten can also be reduced by sleeping under a mosquito net.
