Christmas will soon be here again. The busiest months of the year are November and December for shops in Britain, particularly those in urban areas. In some large stores, those two months make up half of the entire year's sales. However, the majority of people spend their money earlier before Christmas. People enjoy doing "Christmas shopping" distinct from regular shopping since it is unique. They frequently visit different stores, including more expensive ones, both online and in-store. They do more than just buy groceries at their local supermarket and clothing at large department stores. They scout the area, take their time, look around, then choose.
City establishments try their best to attract customers in with enticing windows and exclusive deals. This is a hectic time of year for store clerks. There is only a little time to relax. There is only enough time for a cup of coffee or tea before returning to work. Pay season has arrived. Shops remain open later as Christmas approaches.
Then, around five o'clock, all activity stops on Christmas Eve. Suddenly, there are no customers in the stores; just a few people frantically searching for last-minute gifts. Then it is over. The lights are still on as the store doors close. There is barely anyone in the streets, which were so crowded earlier—just some individuals heading home or singing in the street.
