According to officials, an apparent error was directing drivers in South Florida looking to resolve their traffic citations to a website selling 2024 merchandise for former President Donald Trump. According to police spokesperson Ernesto Rodriguez, who spoke to the Miami Herald on February 14, Miami Beach police had been dispersing the incorrect flyers up to the second week of February. He was unaware of how long they had been in use. This typographical error is now known to us, Rodriguez said that they issued a directive to officers to stop using them.

The pamphlet provided instructions on using the Miami-Dade County Clerk of Courts website to settle insignificant traffic charges. The issue was that the flyer's web address omitted a hyphen, leading drivers to the erroneous website, which offers Trump 2024 hats and flags. Miami Beach appears to be the only agency with the error, according to court authorities. The proper address was on the initial flier that was delivered to Miami-Dade police in May 2020, but Miami Beach made its copies of the notices, and the error was added at some point during the printing process.
