The environment in which we live is changing quickly. There is no denying that for today's workplace to be effective and competitive, it must constantly adapt to continuing changes, whether brought on by technology, globalization, or in response to particular crises.  People today must work smarter and not just harder.   The manager's job is also changing. Organizations must implement agile working approaches to identify the most appropriate and effective manner to complete tasks in light of the changes in modern work practices.

One aspect of agile working is allowing workers to work remotely and choose their hours. Workspaces created for the various types of work being done could be another illustration of agile working. People can perform at their highest level and be productive in this setting. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to agile working, like most things in our field. Agile working is about appreciating people and their activities and not having them constrained by the physical workplace, hence agile workplaces must be suited to the individuals and their responsibilities in the organization.

Agile working relates to being prepared to modify how we work, whether it is our working hours, our physical workspace, the technology we use, the nature of our positions and how we collaborate, or the manner our work is completed. We can react to the constantly shifting environment around us by fostering such agility and flexibility, which will also make our staff more dynamic and boost our performance and production.
