Fruit is commonly used in savory dishes in several regions of the world. For example, lunch in the Middle East would include apricots and dates, whereas Asian or Caribbean cuisine might include pineapple and mango. These dishes do so well because sweet flavors blend well with salty or spicy ones. But if you're still unsure about pineapple on pizza, here are three fruit-filled meal suggestions for you to try.

Tomatoes filled with rice, sultanas, and pine nuts - The idea behind this traditional Greek dish is to add sultanas and nuts to the rice to give it more taste and texture. Although not all Greeks do this, it is a simple way to include fruit because you can simply toss it into the rice. If you're unsure of how it will taste, start with just a few sultanas. The tomatoes are then filled with rice, fruit, and nuts before being baked. Potatoes and a slice of salty Greek cheese should be served with them.

Gorgonzola cheese and pear pasta - We all know that eating fruit is beneficial to our health, but the pears in this creamy pasta dish might not quite be enough to make the pasta a healthy dish. It does taste wonderful, though. Before being combined with cooked pasta and melted cheese, the pears must first be soft. They should then be cooked in a pan for a short period.

Chicken tagine with figs -This mouthwatering stew is typically prepared in a North African tagine, a unique kind of pot, but any large pot will do. Here, as the chicken cooks gradually, figs are added. The dish has a little honey chicken-like flavor thanks to the sweet and sticky figs, but it also has a spicy, North African flavor.
