According to data from the United Nations (UN), India is expected to overtake China as the world's most populous country in 2023. With almost 1.4 billion people, China was the most populated nation as of the beginning of 2023. However, according to the UN, India will surpass China as the largest nation in the world in the middle of April when its population reaches 1.43 billion.
