They say, growing up is a trap. You might regret it one day. This is the phrase we utter to people younger than us. They’re all in a rush to grow up and we’re here warning them of how they’ll one day realize how wrong they were, what they’re missing, and that they’ll wish they had it back because somehow we feel like, we want to go back to being young just like them. Being an adult is not hard actually. There are a lot of reasons why being an adult is so much better than being a kid that we can reflect on.

First one, you get to work. This could be a con to most, you will love being able to generate an income for yourself that you can spend on whatever you want. You will now know the value of earning money and just don’t rely on your allowance. Next, you can have your own place! How lovely it is to decorate your own apartment. When you live alone, you can wear whatever you want. Eat the food you crave, and watch TV shows that you cannot watch before. Although paying rent may be a big burden, it’s also nice to come home and it feels like a mini-vacation that costs you nothing. Then, you can buy yourself everything that you cannot afford before. Also, do more by asking your parents for permission. Although this may not apply to everyone the difference now is that regardless of whether your parents say yes is that you can still do it anyway. Lastly, you can date. We all had those “boyfriends/girlfriends” that we dated for a week and we’re done. As an adult, you get to do the real thing, which is not just a relationship but a partnership. Once you get into a serious relationship, loving someone and knowing they love you back is honestly the most wonderful thing.
